What this pathway is.

Europe is short on trained artisans. Confirmed shortage. Visa programmes built specifically to bring in trade workers from outside the EU. Germany, the UK, Netherlands, Poland and Ireland all have these pathways open right now.

For your application to one of these pathways to be taken seriously, you need three things:

  1. A federally accredited certification proving your trade competence.
  2. Documentation in a format their credential evaluators can read.
  3. The right paperwork to support your visa application.

ServHub provides all three. The federally accredited, NABTEB-certified Nigerian credential. The internationally-formatted documentation. And application guidance specific to each country's pathway.

Be clear on this. ServHub is not a visa agency. We do not sell visas. We do not guarantee employment. We do not promise admission. The visa, the job, the residency permit | those are decisions of the foreign embassy, the foreign employer, and the foreign government. What we deliver is the credible foundation that makes your application viewable and competitive.

Where Your Certificate Travels.

Five countries. Five established visa pathways. What each offers and which trades they want most.

🇩🇪

Germany

OPPORTUNITY CARD · CHANCENKARTE

Germany launched its Opportunity Card in 2024 specifically because they cannot find enough skilled trade workers. It is a points-based visa that lets you come to Germany for up to a year to find employment.

In highest demand:

Plumbers, electricians, welders, carpenters, AC technicians, healthcare workers, IT professionals.

Visa qualifying basics: Vocational training of 2+ years OR university degree, plus work experience, German language at A1+ (you can learn this).

🇬🇧

United Kingdom

SKILLED WORKER VISA

UK Skilled Worker Visa requires sponsorship by a UK employer. Many trades sit on the Shortage Occupation List, making the visa process faster and often cheaper. With your federally accredited certificate, your credentials get evaluated and recognised.

In highest demand:

Construction trades (carpenters, bricklayers, plasterers), healthcare assistants, chefs, IT specialists, engineers.

Visa qualifying basics: Job offer from a UK Home Office licensed sponsor, English at B1+ (IELTS or equivalent).

🇳🇱

Netherlands

HIGHLY SKILLED MIGRANT · RECOGNISED SPONSOR ROUTE

The Netherlands runs a Recognised Sponsor system where approved Dutch employers can hire non-EU skilled workers with simplified visa processing. The country has severe shortages in technical maintenance, installation trades, and care work.

In highest demand:

Installation engineers, technical maintenance workers, carers, IT specialists, agricultural technicians.

Visa qualifying basics: Sponsored job offer, minimum salary threshold (varies by age and role), credential recognition.

🇵🇱

Poland

WORK PERMIT TYPE A

Poland actively recruits trade workers from outside the EU. The country's economy is growing fast and the local labour pool cannot meet demand. Work Permit Type A is for foreigners working for a Polish employer.

In highest demand:

Welders, fitters, carpenters, drivers, construction workers, warehouse and manufacturing operators.

Visa qualifying basics: Employer contract, work permit application by employer, credential evaluation.

🇮🇪

Ireland

CRITICAL SKILLS EMPLOYMENT PERMIT

Ireland's construction boom has created severe labour shortages. The Critical Skills Permit fast-tracks visa processing for trades on Ireland's Critical Skills Occupations List. Family reunification is faster on this route.

In highest demand:

Electricians, plumbers, carpenters, welders, healthcare professionals, IT specialists.

Visa qualifying basics: Job offer from an Irish employer at minimum salary threshold, formal qualifications, credential recognition.
